Samurettes artistieke bijdrage aan de tentoonstelling GEN_T van de Nederlandse Kring van Tekenaars in NDSM-FUSE Amsterdam.
Samurette toont vijf art prints uit het comicboek Samurette in de Kasteeltuin. Deze prints vertellen de story van Samurette en haar perikelen met het personage Eddie.
Het eerste beeld: Cover, print op 135 gr mat mc, 59,4 cm x 84 cm (A1), 2024. Het tweede beeld: Geen Leuke Story, print op 135 gr silk, 59,4 cm x 84 cm (A1), 2024. Oh no no no Gina!
Oh no no no Gina! is een print uit de novel Samurettes Poppenstory. Het boek is nog niet geheel voltooid en in printvorm verschenen.
In Samurettes Poppenstory verteld barbiepop Kunst ons over hertogin Gina. Zij is de vrouwelijke hoofdpersoon in de roman De Kartuize van Parma (1839) van de Franse schrijver Stendhal. Haar naïeve neefje en oogappel Fabrizio is gevangengenomen wegens landverraad en hangt de doodstraf boven het hoofd. Gina doet er alles aan om het enfant terrible te redden. Zij smeekt onder andere voor zijn vrijlating bij de vorst van Parma, maar wordt langzamerhand door zijn seksuele chantage meer en meer in het nauw gedreven. Samurette en Lady Cab Driver
Samurette en Lady Cab Driver is een print uit de novel Book of Cards. Het boek is nog niet geheel voltooid en in printvorm verschenen.
Jaren gelden, In 2017 verdwijnt Samurette van de radar wanneer ze samen met haar vriendin Lady Cab Driver de (kerst) Party Of Special Things To Do bezoekt. Lange tijd vernemen we niets van haar, alleen krijgen we af en toe een ansichtkaartje van haar uit Tarotland. Samurette heeft bij elkaar meer dan honderd kaarten verstuurd. Haar geestelijke moeder probeert d.m.v. door Samurette verstuurde kerstkaartjes te reconstrueren wat er is gebeurd. Eén conclusie heeft ze alvast getrokken: Samurette deed iets doen wat ze normaal nooit doet, zoals: 1. Naar feestjes gaan. 2. Op vakantie gaan.

Samurette en Bekers Schandknaap, eh Schildknaap
Samurette en Bekers Schandknaap, eh Schildknaap is een werk uit de serie Samurette in Tarotland ontstaan in de periode vanaf Kerstmis 2017 tot december 2018. De serie bestaat uit digitale tekeningen van de avonturen van Samurette in Tarotland. In de tentoonstelling GEN_T is het werk ingezonden als zijnde een sleutelwerk uit het oeuvre van Samurette.
Samurette werd in 2012 geboren in eenentwintig gedichten samengebracht onder de titel: Feuilleton over de belevenissen van Samurette. Daarna volgden tekeningen en collages van haar hand. In geen van deze artistieke verrichtingen zien wij haar zelf afgebeeld. Dit verandert in de serie Samurette in Tarotland. Alleen, is hier wel iets bijzonders aan de hand; Samurette heeft namelijk vele verschillende gezichten. Samurette Is Every Woman.
Na Tarotland krijgt Samurettes beeltenis meer reliëf in de graphic novel Samurette in de Kasteeltuin (2021) en de novellen die daarop volgen. Samurette en Bekers Schandknaap, eh Schildknaap: Samurette in Tarotland, print op 200 gr satijn, 84,1 cm x 118,9 cm (A0), 2018-2024

Samurette in the Castle Garden
Samurette shows five art prints from the comic book Samurette in the Castle Garden. These prints tell the story of Samurette and her entanglement with the character Eddie.

Oh no no no Gina!
Oh no no no Gina! is a print from the novel Samurettes Puppetry. The book is not yet fully completed and published. In Samurettes Puppetry, Barbie doll Art tells us about Duchess Gina. She is the female protagonist in the novel The Charterhouse of Parma (1839) of the French writer Stendhal. Her naive nephew and apple of her eye Fabrizio has been captured for treason and faces the death penalty. Gina does everything she can to save the enfant terrible.
She begs, among other things, the prince of Parma for his release, but is gradually driven more and more into a corner by his sexual blackmail. Samurette and Lady Cab Driver
Samurette and Lady Cab Driver is a print from the novel Book of Cards. The book is not yet fully completed and published. Years ago, in 2017 Samurette disappeared from the radar when she attended with her friend Lady Cab Driver the (Christmas) Party Of Special Things To Do. We didn’t hear from her for a long time. Only occasionally we received a postcard from her from Tarotland. Altogether, Samurette has sent us more than a hundred of those cards in total. Her spirit mother tried -through Christmas cards sent to her by Samurette- to reconstruct what must have happened. She has already drawn one conclusion: Samurette did something she normally never does, like: 1. Going to parties. 2. Going on vacation. Samurette en Bekers Schandknaap, eh Schildknaap.
In the Dutch language there is only a small difference in spelling and pronunciation between ‘schandknaap’ and ‘schildknaap’ (‘catamite’/‘rent boy’ and ‘page’/’attendant to a knight or castellan’). Samurette en Bekers Schandknaap, eh Schildknaap Samurette is a work from the series Samurette in Tarotland created in the period from Christmas 2017 to December 2018. The series consists of digital drawings of the adventures of Samurette in Tarotland. The work has been submitted in the GEN_T exhibition as a key work from Samurette’s oeuvre. Samurette was born in 2012 in twenty-one poems brought together under the title: Feuilleton about the experiences of Samurette. This was followed by her drawings and collages. We do not see her physical manifestation depicted in any of these artistic achievements. This changes in the Samurette Tarotland series. However, there is something special going on here; Samurette has many different faces. Samurette Is Every Woman. After Tarotland, Samurette’s image is getting more clear in the graphic novel Samurette in the Castle Garden (2021) and the novels that follow.
